018 WC Qualifier: 16 Super Eagles players including Mikel Obi and Victor Moses arrive camp

Ahead of Nigeria's must win Russia 2018 World cup qualifying match against Algeria on Sunday in Uyo, about 15 foreign based players have arrived at the Abuja team camp to begin training.

Players like Ogenyi Onazi, Akpeyi, Odion Ighalo, Kelechi Iheanacho, Alex Iwobi, Ezenwa, Balogun, Kenneth Omeruo, Ndidi, Simon, Madu, Agbo arrived on Monday while John Ogu,William Troost-Ekong and captain John Mikel Obi arrived on Tuesday

Russia 2018 WC: Algeria will come to Uyo very well prepared- Coach Gernot Rohr says

Nigeria's chief technical adviser, Gernot Rohr has revealed that his team faces a tough task against Algeria on Saturday after the Super Eagles started their FIFA World Cup Russia 2018 campaign with a 2-1 away win against Zambia at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium last October.

Rohr says he is aware of the huge task ahead in the Super Eagles’ quest for a sixth World Cup appearance, saying they won't leave any stone unturned in the race to Russia 2018.

“We are happy we won and took the three points from our match against Zambia; I believe all the games in this group will be difficult to win because all the four teams are very strong but we are going to prepare for our next games,” Rohr told CAF's official website CAFonline.com

'I believe all the games in this group will be difficult to win because all the four teams are very strong. Algeria which is the number one team in Africa must be disappointed for dropping points at home against Cameroon.'
' They will come to Uyo very well prepared against us. So mathematically, it was a good operation for us that we won in Ndola; and we are the only teams that have three points after the first round of matches.
'The preparation has been to look at our players in their clubs because we cannot play any friendly match. We have to analyse the matches and we also have to keep eyes on our players because we have started building a new team with many young players.'
' It was good we have two wins after two matches (Tanzania and Zambia) which is good for our confidence but there is still a lot of work to do.'

Andy Murray becomes World Number 1 for the first time in his career

Tennis star, Andy Murray, is officially the first Brit to be World number one -since John Newcombe in 1974- after beating John Isner 6-3, 6-7, 6-4 to win the Paris Masters on Sunday. It was Murray's first Paris Masters title and the victory brought Murray his sixth ATP title of a very good 2016 for the Brit.



A 405 point gap now seprates Murray from former world number one Novak Djokovic with the ATP World Tour Finals to begin next weekend in London.

“It feels different, certainly, to when I had won a Grand Slam or anything like that or the Olympics. It feels quite different. Maybe just because of the way it happened, really,” said Murray to journalsits.

“When you play a final, you win or you lose. Whereas with the No.1 ranking, it’s not really like that. I could still potentially have had a chance to do it next week so it feels kind of different.”

Murray's rise to the top could be short-lived though, as previous number one Novak Djokovic could reclaim the top ranking he held for 122 weeks if he wins every match at the upcoming ATP World Tour Finals in London.

Speaking in an interview with Shaft FM, Mama Sweet, a representative of the Adansi-Obuasi sex workers said:
‘We want government to legalise prostitution by giving us licenses to operate, so that we can work morning, afternoon and evening. Some of us were introduced into prostitution by our friends due to lack of financial support from family members.’

One of Nigeria's richest pastor and founder of Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, has told those criticizing the high fees charged at his Church's private University, Covenant University, to stop now or face the wrath of God. According to Bishop Oyedepo, the high fees being charged at the university is ordained by God.
In a telecast to a announce the church's annual programme, Shiloh 2016 Convention, Oyedepo said those criticizing the university's high fees were acting in ignorance and risked incurring the wrath of God.
According to him, an individual who criticized the church recently, suffered chronic mouth odour and was healed after he confessed to him.

Monkey picks Trump as next US president

A Chinese monkey described as the “king of prophets” has tipped Donald Trump for the US presidency, a tourism park said, after the creature successfully predicted the winner of football’s European Championship final earlier this year.

Known as Geda — which means knots or goose bumps — the prophetic primate is the latest in a series of purportedly psychic animals that have popped up around the world since Paul the Octopus correctly predicted multiple 2010 World Cup matches.

The simian seer, wearing a yellow shirt emblazoned with his title, was given a chance to pick between life-sized cut-outs of Republican Trump and his Democratic challenger Hillary Clinton.

After “deliberate thought” the mystic monkey chose Trump, Shiyanhu Ecological Tourism Park said Thursday in a statement on its website. Without even waiting, he congratulated the cardboard candidate with a kiss on the lips.

The five-year-old simian correctly predicted Portugal would win the 2016 European football championship in July, two days before Cristiano Ronaldo’s side prevailed 1-0, online news portal ifeng.com reported at the time.
