Shanghai Shenhua striker, Demba Ba, broke his leg on Sunday during a Chinese Super League game derby.
Ba, who moved to China from Besiktas last year suffered a broken leg after contesting the ball with a Shanghai SIPG player.
The Senegalese plied his trade in the Premier League, for West Ham, New Castle and Chelsea, before heading to Turkey and the Chinese League.
