Update on #reopen lautech saga(osun state chapter)
All glory and adoration to almighty God for today's#reopen lautech movement. Kudos to all ever reasonable,ever dynamic and ever gallant comrades that show up.
The meeting started around 10:30 am of which Com.increase said the opening prayer in a christian manner. Introduction of all students present followed immediately.
A lot of issues were raised on how the protest should be like,among which are ;
* Letters should be drafted and be submitted to all radio stations and TV stations in osun state,to the commissioner of police,commissioner of information and all relevant stakeholders in Osun state
*That a protest should be staged at Ola-Iya junction on monday 18th/07/2016 with all students wearing white Top and their identity card
*All concerned Laokites should visit the palace Ataoja of Osogbo by 8 a.m
* That letter should be submitted to the H.O.D of MLS,NUR and medicine on the need for medical students to join in the on going peaceful rally.
RESOLUTIONS
It was resolved that we should visit the palace of Ataoja of osogbo today 14th of july 2016
That the said letter should be drafted today and submitted tommorrow to appropriate quarters
That we should all converge at all Olaiya by 10 am on monday
ACTIONS
All ever gallant comrades visited the palace of ataoja of osogbo by taking a mini bus
Our grievances and prayers were made known to the royal highness. He made a call through to some relevant authorities and informed us that the strike would be called off latest next week and assured us to come back if the strike is not called off.
CONCLUSION
A week ultimatum is given to honor the king before the mass action while neccessary actions are taken during the ultimatum.
